My experience with Kuwait Airways has been good and light on my wallet. With a fleet of 28 aircraft, Kuwait Airways provides connectivity between different parts of the world, one being from Bengaluru to New York. Here are 3 reasons why you should consider this airline for your next trip:
- Affordable tickets – If you’re like me who would rather spend money exploring a particular place than getting there by an expensive airline, then Kuwait Airways is your de facto choice. My round trip from Bengaluru to New York cost me just 46,458 INR which is approximately 730 USD! I picked the dates based on the cheapest flight available and luckily, Kuwait Airways had an average layover time of 4 hours as well.
- Variety of meals – Since I am vegan, I was particular about the meals served on the plane and to my surprise, Kuwait Airways had 17 other meal options ranging from diabetic meal to low gluten meal! I opted for the Vegetarian Non-Dairy meal and the food was perfectly cooked and loaded with flavours. You need to make sure you provide your special meal preferences at least 24 hours before your flight (you can do it before web check-in).
- Great leg room and I mean it! – I flew in a Boeing 777-300ER and an Airbus A320 and was pretty surprised with the leg room available. If you pick the aisle seat, you can travel comfortably for longer durations. My journey was approximately 22 hours one way with a layover at Kuwait International Airport. My flight experience was not very exhausting and I attribute it to comfortable seats and good leg room on the flight.
Here is my rating of Kuwait Airways on a scale of 5:
- Food – 4.5
- Service – 3.5
- Comfort – 4
- Punctuality – 3.5
The service on Kuwait Airways deserves a 3.5 because the flight attendants seemed quite nonchalant throughout the flight. I could hardly see a smile on their faces but it didn’t matter much to me because everything else was perfect. I gave a 3.5 for punctuality because the flight was delayed by almost 2.5 hours while going back from New York to Bengaluru. However, the delay compensated for a shorter layover at Kuwait International Airport.
Overall, I think flying with Kuwait Airways was a great experience for me and I would fly with them again!
