The Rhythm Resort in Lonavala is a luxurious 5-star, all-suite resort nestled amidst the mighty Sahyadri mountains. Located on the old Pune-Mumbai highway, this resort is aesthetically designed and built around a family of trees that are over 70 years old. Their logo represents the ‘Tree of Life’ and synonymous to this, not a single tree has been cut while constructing the resort (Wow!).
This resort is located on the old Pune-Mumbai highway and is fairly visible from the main road. It is very close to the chikki markets and is a 15-20 minute drive to all the famous tourist spots like Karla Caves, Khandala Ghat View Point, Tiger’s Point, and Lion’s Point. The Pawna Lake and Lohagad Fort are a 40-minute drive from the resort.

If you are a nature lover, then there is no better place to stay at, than at this resort. All the suites are designed in an Asian-Colonial style with balconies facing the spectacular courtyard. The general theme of this resort is centered around nature and so don’t be surprised if you find a fan made of wood in your room! The overall ambience of the resort is extremely elegant and reunites your soul with the environment.
The Rhythm Resort is an all-suite resort which means there are no rooms in the resort. A suite is slightly larger than a room, is more spacious, has a kitchenette, and comes with a seating area or a separate living area. There are two categories of suites in Rhythm, namely Cypress and Banyan. The Cypress Suite is a studio suite and can accommodate up to three guests. The Banyan Suite (also called as the Family Suite) is larger than the Cypress Suite and it can accommodate up to four guests. They also have combo-suites where two suites are connected through a common door, ideal for two families or a large group of friends traveling together.
The price of the suites might initially seem expensive but once you break down the cost per individual, it turns out to be a lot more reasonable. As of 2019, the Cypress Suite costs anywhere between 7,000 – 12,000 INR for three guests, depending on whether you want breakfast alone or breakfast and dinner combined. Similarly, the Banyan Suite costs anywhere between 8,000 – 16,000 INR and is ideal for four guests.
In-House Restaurants & Bars
The Treehouse Cafe
The Treehouse Cafe is a premier multi-cuisine cafe serving delicacies from across the world. They serve a wide array of lip-smacking dishes including some really unique sugarfree desserts. The chef also makes it a point to include regional dishes like Misal Pav, Vada Pav, Puran Poli, etc on their menu, every single day.
Cedar Lounge & Restaurant
Head to this trendy lounge bar for quirky cocktails and delicious Mediterranean appetizers. The best part about the Cedar Lounge is that it is separate from the main restaurant (The Treehouse Cafe) keeping in mind that the children below the drinking age, are not affected.
The Courtyard Poolside Bistro
The most alluring sight of Rhythm is its courtyard. It lights up beautifully at night and is the perfect place to enjoy the night sky. What’s even better is that there is a small poolside bistro near the courtyard that serves cocktails and plays pacifying music in the background.
Three Urns Cafe
This is a cute cafe located right at the entrance of the resort. They serve delicious pastries, gourmet foods, and a fine selection of beverages.
Banquet Hall & Business Centre
Rhythm has a large banquet hall called the Grand Oak where weddings, corporate meetings, and offsite events are organised. They also have a beautiful lawn adjacent to the banquet hall where cocktail parties, live concerts, and BBQ dinners are organised. In addition to this, they have a separate Business Centre for corporates to carry out their meetings or presentations.
The resort has a Lagoon Pool (with a Kids’ Pool), a Spa, a Gym, and a Fun Zone for kids to play. They also have a Souvenir/Gift Shop and a Library in the lobby which their guests can use. They also offer free WiFi services throughout the day.
The Rhythm Resort is one of the best environment-friendly resorts I’ve ever been to. Their love for nature reflects in their artistic design and the general aura of the resort. There were days when I woke up to the sweet chirping of birds. And to add to all of this, the warm hospitality of the staff made me feel very special (their reviews and ratings on various hotel websites throw light on their congeniality).
The food was an absolute winner for me! After mentioning my dietary requirements, the chef veganized every dish for me without even slightly compromising on the taste. The same gesture was shown to other guests as well, where we were dining. This made me realise that they treated every guest equally, with utmost care and hospitality.
On the whole, I was extremely satisfied with my stay at this resort and would totally recommend it if you visit Lonavala.
